The Guardians of the Planet and our Mission

 
Armed with the new knowledge gained from their visit to La Casita Verde, the children chose an eco commitment based around the 3 R´s that were so integral to their experience, and applied it to their school and home environment.  After some weeks of carrying out this new eco-commitment, the students (guided by their teachers) made a drawing (or other piece of artwork) to represent their eco-commitment graphically.

When these drawings were ready, the Greenheart Resonancia team made a visit to each school to collect them, giving each participant a small prize for the effort of paying more attention to the consequences of their daily actions.

The students were then shown a slideshow presentation which was designed to address some of the problems of climate change and also help the students understand how small everyday actions can add up to big solutions.

Also, a new mission was offered: to write to the political leaders of the world who will meet up in Japan in July 2008!  These letters were to be collected when the children visited the Expo of their work during Climate Change Week at the tourism office in Vara de Rey.
